BE&K Building Group Showcases Capabilities to Public-Private Partnerships at 2016 P3C Conference & Expo
April 6, 2016

BE&K Building Group recently participated in the 4th Annual Public-Private Partnership Conference (P3C) & Expo — the premier conference for collaboration between government officials and private industry considering, developing and operating public-private partnerships. Influential decision-makers from around the world gathered in Dallas, Texas, in March for three days of in-depth learning, business development and networking opportunities.

BE&K Building Group shared exhibit space at the Expo with DDM Group, a private developer with whom our company maintains a strategic partnership. BE&K Building Group’s Tell Butler, Project Executive, represented our firm. DDM’s Don Nevins, Founder and Managing Principal, attended on his company’s behalf.

“This conference is unique in that it bridges the gap between public and private officials,” said Butler. “As one of the largest gatherings of development professionals in the country, we saw it as an ideal opportunity for BE&K Building Group to demonstrate our capabilities and showcase recent projects where public and private sectors intersect."

One project we highlighted at our booth was the Giesecke Engineering Research Building. This sophisticated research facility, completed in 2015 for Texas A&M University, was constructed by our parent company in cooperation with DDM.

About P3C 2016 — P3C attracts senior management from firms in the construction, engineering, architecture, legal and consulting industries, as well as public leaders and development agency officials from the municipal, state and federal levels of government. This year’s P3C event brought together over 100 experienced and thought-provoking speakers to help educate attendees on the critical principles behind successful public-private partnerships. This was accomplished through a variety of forums, including plenary sessions, panels, case studies, project showcases and workshops. Numerous networking events were incorporated into the agenda. Approximately 50 businesses exhibited at the Expo.
