BE&K Building Group Recognized as a Diversity Leader by Subcontractors USA Magazine
September 12, 2016

BE&K Building Group recently attended a luncheon sponsored by Subcontractors USA Magazine, in which we were recognized as one of the “2016 Top 25 Prime Contractors for Diversity.” This marks the fourth consecutive year that we have received this prestigious honor.

Subcontractors USA Magazine’s annual awards event celebrates Houston-based companies and agencies who “work industriously to foster business growth in minority communities by supporting small business diversity initiatives.” Peer organizations are able to select each nominee who they feel have taken the necessary steps to go “above and beyond” toward the encouragement and development of small and diverse businesses. Among the attendees for this event were several current BE&K Building Group clients including Texas A&M University and Lone Star College.

Tell Butler, BE&K Building Group’s Director of Higher Education, accepted the award on behalf of our company. Also in attendance was Garland Burton, BE&K Building Group’s Director of Diversity and Community Affairs. “The acceptance of this award on behalf of BE&K Building Group emphasizes the true dedication and philosophy of our company toward involving the HUB community,” said Butler. “Helping diverse contractors, through their hard work and tenacity, overcome natural barriers and obstacles in our industry helps to ensure that they can also enjoy the success our industry has to offer. Our employees stand proud among so many who share our commitment to helping others in our communities.”
