Mayne Pharma Oral Solid Dosage Manufacturing Facility Project Celebrates 171,000 Safe Work Hours
March 8, 2017

BE&K Building Group’s project team for the Mayne Pharma Oral Solid Dosage Manufacturing Facility celebrated achieving more than 171,000 safe work-hours without a lost-time or recordable incident. This safety milestone is even more notable understanding the project’s execution involves significant and highly coordinated work at extreme height. The project’s design involves many areas requiring the erection, hanging and finishing of 55-foot metal stud walls, all while simultaneously coordinating efforts with adjacent mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations at similar elevations.

On February 1, 2017, our project team hosted a BBQ lunch for the project’s onsite workforce of nearly 250. Door prizes totaling more than $3000 were randomly raffled. The grand prize was a 50-inch flat-screen television won by a member of the project’s concrete finishing crew.

Mac Carpenter, President for BE&K Building Group, and Frank Holley, Executive Vice President, were onsite for the celebration. Our project team’s leadership was also joined by Mayne Pharma key leadership to express our heartfelt appreciation to the work crews for a job well done.

“We are fortunate and grateful to be working with a client of the caliber of Mayne Pharma,” said Frank Holley. “They are extremely knowledgeable regarding their project’s requirements and make timely decisions, which is paramount toward keeping a project on schedule. I’m very proud of our project team’s achievements toward project safety, quality and client satisfaction. We are looking forward to a safe, successful project completion.”

BE&K Building Group began work on the 186,000-square-foot project in late 2015 with completion scheduled for late summer 2017.
