Credit Suisse

Center of Excellence

Credit Suisse’s four-story Center of Excellence houses offices, training rooms, conference areas, and food-service facilities. The main work areas of the facility are located on the second, third, and fourth floors, affording beautiful views of the wooded campus. The majority of interior partition walls are located in the core of the building and in small groups of offices leaving the remaining space open and exposed to daylight. A Disaster Recovery Data Center upfit on the ground floor was also provided. All electrical and mechanical systems were designed with N+2 redundancies, including UPS rooms, a Paralleling Switchgear Room, and Battery Room. A Veris Acquisuite system was installed to monitor IT equipment power usage. All power and BMS monitoring is done in both the Data Center Control Room and in Credit Suisse’s corporate office in New York City.

BE&K Building Group did an outstanding job throughout the job and delivered this technically complex, 200,000 sf project in just over 11 months. They were a team player throughout the project, actively addressed issues and usually had a viable solution to propose whenever a problem presented itself. BE&K Building Group actively managed and participated in offsite and onsite testing of major equipment to be incorporated into the building such as electric switchgear, generators, and UPS systems. This paid big dividends as it allowed start up activities of each piece of equipment to proceed smoothly as our completion date neared.
