DESIGN-BID-BUILD
Through this traditional project delivery approach, also referred to as Design-Bid-Build, the project’s design team produces 100% construction bid documents in direct contract with the Owner. The Owner then solicits pricing from General Contractors to perform the work. Under this delivery method, portions of the labor are typically procured on a lump-sum basis. There are two distinct phases to this traditional approach with design and construction being clearly separated by the bid process.
