On Tuesday, November 9, BE&K held a Topping Out Celebration for Beam Therapeutics’ New cGMP Manufacturing Facility in Durham, North Carolina. Project team members, subcontractors, and Beam employees celebrated by signing the steel beam and partaking in a site tour of the facility.
The new 1000,000 sf facility is designed to support manufacturing for the company’s ex vivo cell therapy programs in hematology and oncology and in vivo non-viral delivery programs for liver diseases, with flexibility to support manufacturing of its viral delivery programs, and ultimately, scale-up to support potential commercial supply.
The project is on track to reach completion by mid-summer 2022.
