Chief Executive Officer
With more than 45 years’ experience in the construction industry and more than 30 years with the company, Frank provides comprehensive oversight for all of BE&K Building Group. He oversees all aspects of the company, focusing on corporate strategy development and growth, and support services, including Safety, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, and Preconstruction. He also ensures the company’s continued focus on its clients and people.

Pat Chisholm
President
With more than 35 years’ experience in the construction industry and over 25 years with the company, Pat oversees all BE&K Building Group operations nationwide, along with various corporate support departments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Mike Baumbach
Executive Vice President | Business Unit Leader
Mike is responsible for the overall management of BE&K Building Group’s Western North Carolina and South Carolina regional operations, serving clients nationwide. With more than 40 years of industry experience and more than 12 years with the company, Mike also provides specific expertise and company-wide leadership for our Healthcare Center of Excellence. He also delivers significant experience to our Higher Education and Commercial clients. A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Read Ballew
Senior Vice President | Business Unit Leader
Read is responsible for the overall management of BE&K Building Group’s Texas regional operations, to include the company’s Dallas and Houston regional offices. Read delivers more than 30 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry with a diverse background in numerous vertical markets including mission critical, aviation + aerospace, distribution, life sciences, healthcare, education, commercial, hospitality, and retail facilities. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He is also a credentialed Professional Engineer.

Vice President | Business Unit Leader
Jason is responsible for the overall management of BE&K Building Group’s North Carolina regional operations. He delivers more than 20 years of industry experience and provides specific expertise for our Life Sciences Center of Excellence. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Business Administration from Michigan Technological University and a Master of Science in Business Administration, Strategic Management, from Wayne State University.

Vice President | Human Resources
Candace is responsible for all human resource functions company-wide including organizational development, recruiting, benefits, compensation, compliance, and diversity. She holds Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credentials and has over 20 years of industry experience. Candace earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University.

Mark Manos
Vice President, Health, Safety, + Environment
Mark is responsible for BE&K Building Group’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) program. He leads HSE training initiatives, and provides oversight and support for BE&K’s HSE professionals, project teams, and subcontracting forces company-wide. Mark has more than 30 years’ industry experience, with more than 25 of those years with the company. He holds numerous safety certifications and delivers specific industry experience applicable to each of our Centers of Excellence.

Kevin Bredeson
Vice President | Preconstruction + Technology
Kevin leads Preconstruction + Technology for the company. Kevin has more than 20 years of experience having led full-service preconstruction delivery services for three ENR Top 100 Contractors through the conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction phases on hundreds of projects in a wide variety of end-markets. Kevin has also pioneered and managed comprehensive technology programs to drive operational excellence through Virtual Design and Construction services.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Rick is responsible for conceptualizing and leading marketing and communications strategies for the company. He is responsible for coordinating corporate marketing resources to support business development activities, administrating the company’s client relationship management system, and providing strategic direction for corporate communications, branding, promotion, and advertising to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals and mission.

She has nearly 15 years of industry experience having recently served as Director of Projects + Prospects for the North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech). Courtney is a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Mike remains actively involved in various local and national industry organizations.

She has nearly 15 years of industry experience serving various markets, including life sciences, industrial and manufacturing, food and beverage, and warehousing and distribution. Lindsey is a Sam Houston State University graduate and is actively involved in a variety of professional organizations.

Ryan is based out of BE&K Building Group’s Research Triangle Park office and is responsible for the company’s regional business development efforts. His experience spans several key markets for BE&K, including life sciences, industrial and manufacturing, and food and beverage. Ryan is committed to understanding and prioritizing his clients’ needs, ensuring each project is aligned with its goals. Ryan is a James Madison University graduate and is active in various organizations, including ISPE, BioBuzz, and ASPE.

Leslie Sullivan
Corporate Counsel
Leslie serves as BE&K Building Group’s in-house resource responsible for advising the company and its leadership on legal matters and related compliance. Having served as an attorney for more than 20 years, she received her Bachelor of Science in Building Science and Management from Clemson University and later obtained her Juris Doctorate through the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Risk Management Director
Nick is responsible for BE&K Building Group’s Risk Management program and all related services. He delivers more than 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. His certifications include Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS). He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Kent Tarou
Corporate Quality Manager
Kent is BE&K Building Group’s Corporate Quality Manager. He is responsible for providing departmental oversight for BE&K’s Quality Managers and Specialists as they work directly with superintendents and subcontracted trade partners to ensure all installations meet or exceed owner expectations and design and specification requirements. Kent is a Certified Welding Inspector through the American Welding Society, a Certified Pressure Vessel Inspector through the American Petroleum Institute, and has more than 25 years of construction industry experience.

Director of Virtual Construction
David is BE&K Building Group’s Director of Virtual Construction. He is responsible for providing departmental oversight for BE&K’s Virtual Design + Construction Managers and Specialists as they work directly with project design and construction teams and key subcontractors. He holds a Master of Science in Green Building Design from the San Francisco Institute of Architecture and has more than 45 years of construction industry experience.

Chris has over 30 years of construction industry experience, is a United States Marine Corp (USMC) Combat Veteran, attended the USMC Avionic and Power Plant school, and is a certified welder and welding inspector.
