BE&K Donates Food + Clothing This Holiday Season

In the spirit of this season of giving and consistent with BE&K’s tagline that “It’s All About People,” several of the company’s offices and projects recently participated in Giving Back efforts.

BE&K’s Research Triangle Park office and local project teams collected 340 lbs of food (the equivalent of 280 meals) for The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina this season. The Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for those facing hunger in 34 counties for nearly 40 years.

Our Greenville office coordinated donations to Christmas Shoes, a local non-profit ministry that now provides shoes to children all throughout the year. They also gave a generous donation of non-perishable food and supplies to Harvest Hope, South Carolina’s largest food bank, providing over 50,000 meals each week to neighbors in need across the Midlands, Pee Dee, and Upstate regions.

The Boeing Tract 5 Expansion project team delivered more than 700 lbs of food to Jefferson Barracks Military/Veterans Food Pantry. This food pantry serves active military, veterans, and their families. In addition, the team collected coats and winter clothing for Loaves & Fishes St. Louis. Loaves & Fishes is a thriving food pantry and homeless shelter. The food pantry serves 13,000 people and the emergency shelter houses 400 individuals (over 53% of those are children).

Please accept our sincerest thanks and know that by partnering with Loaves & Fishes, you have impacted the life of children, their families, seniors and veterans for the better – you are making a difference!
