New Headquarters
BE&K Building Group was recently awarded the construction of an office headquarters, warehouse, and maintenance shop for Pee Dee Electric Cooperative in Florence, South Carolina. The 2-story, 76,000 sf structural steel office headquarters will house the company’s operations center, customer service center, offices, a boardroom, an assembly room, kitchen, breakrooms, and a fitness room.
An 88,000 sf single-story, pre-engineered warehouse is also being constructed that will provide:
– Truck bays
– Warehouse storage
– Locker rooms for linemen
– Office space with workstations
– Training and fitness rooms
– A kitchen.
Construction also includes a 28,000 sf vehicle maintenance shop that will provide additional storage space, offices, and breakrooms.
Associated site scope includes 6.5 acres of transformer laydown areas on the 74.5-acre site.
Substantial completion is scheduled for Spring 2023.
