Seqirus Fill Finish Expansion
BE&K recently completed a 90,000 sf Fill Finish Expansion at Seqirus’ Holly Springs, NC campus. The expansion is a two-story building that was constructed adjacent to existing fill finish space. This project was BE&K’s sixth completed on this campus.
Each floor provides 45,000 sf of space. The first floor of the new facility is dedicated to process and personnel. Additional scope includes parts prep, clean utilities, locker and gowning rooms, and office and break areas. The second floor provides 45,000 sf of space for all mechanical and electrical services.
The project broke ground on November 16, 2018. It achieved substantial completion ahead of schedule on May 27, 2020. Since that time, the project has been in the Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) phase now nearing completion.
Seqirus Holly Springs is the largest cell-based influenza vaccine manufacturing facility in the U.S. This expansion provides Seqirus increased capacity for formulation, fill, and finish manufacturing of influenza vaccines.
