Biogen’s 155,000 sf, five-story Research & Development / Administration building included 31,000 sf of operational laboratory space, 46,000 sf of shell space for future labs and offices, 46,000 sf of office space, and 31,500 sf of utility support space. A 5-level parking structure was also constructed to support the facility. Additional construction management services were provided to include modifications to a bioreactor train, microfiltration equipment modifications, product transfer equipment and piping, media and buffer transfer piping and transfer panel modifications, cGMP autoclave and utilities, chromatography equipment and related modifications, Water for Injection (WFI) heat exchangers, low-temperature refrigeration equipment and infrastructure, and process utility modifications/upgrades.
