Duke University

School of Nursing

Our firm provided preconstruction and construction services for an expansion and renovation of the Duke School of Nursing building on the main campus of Duke University. The project consisted of a four-story, 45,000 sf addition and 1,000 sf renovation. Facility scope included classrooms, faculty offices, open study areas, simulation rooms, skills labs, and the Dean’s suite located on the 4th floor. Construction of the addition occurred on a one-acre site which required altering student traffic flow into the existing building. The building skin is a combination of precast, “Duke Stone,” aluminum storefront and curtain wall.
