Ferguson’s fully automated Midwest Distribution Center is built on a 30-acre site. One of multiple such Ferguson facilities nationwide, this distribution center’s primary function is to provide replenishment inventory to Ferguson’s branch warehouses within a 350-mile radius. In addition to servicing these wholesale purchase points for plumbing contractors, the facility also is used to replenish the company’s other regional distribution centers. The single-level facility has a structural steel frame with a concrete tilt-panel skin on three sides and insulated metal panels on the fourth side. The building has a 30-foot clear height.
