Chemical Sciences Laboratory

Florida State’s Chemical Sciences Laboratory consists of five floors and a penthouse. It houses laboratories, cold rooms, and faculty offices for multiple disciplines in the scientific field. The first floor is home to core research facilities, a 140-seat lecture hall, and high-tech conference rooms. The second through fourth floors are designed to provide highly flexible laboratory space that can accommodate a broad spectrum of experimental and computational approaches. The fifth floor is devoted to synthetic organic chemistry. The facility is shared by 250 chemists, biochemists, physicists, and biologists researching cutting-edge advancements. Utility features provided throughout include chilled water, pure nitrogen gas, compressed air, natural gas, steam and vacuum pressure, and distilled water.

BE&K Building Group performed well in both the preconstruction and construction efforts for FSU. I was impressed with their cost estimating in the preconstruction phase. The building is handsome, both on the inside and outside, and the quality of construction is first class. BE&K Building Group gets my recommendation.
