Greer Memorial Hospital Replacement Facility + Central Energy Plant

Built on a 130-acre satellite campus, this 159,000 sf hospital serves as a replacement facility for the former Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital built in the mid-1950s. The replacement facility includes a 24-hour emergency trauma center with 25 treatment/ trauma bays, radiology department, women’s center, four state-of-the-art operating room suites, 13 pre-op suites and eight recovery beds, a 72-bed patient tower, a full-service kitchen and café featuring a four-story atrium and outside garden seating, and an outpatient diagnostic services facility. BE&K Building Group’s scope of work also included a 9,000 sf central energy plant designed to service Greer Memorial Hospital, associated medical office buildings, and future campus facilities.
