Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation

Business Jet Manufacturing Facility (Bldg X)

This project was the first major addition to Gulfstream Aerospace’s Savannah manufacturing complex since the company brought its G200 aircraft production to the site in 1967. Forty years and more than a thousand planes later, the company had maximized plant capacity and needed to expand. Building X was constructed on the company’s main site adjacent to the Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport. It expanded Gulfstream’s production capacity by 40%. The facility includes 265,000 sf of assembly and paint areas, and 49,000 sf of offices, shops, materials receiving and storage areas.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is pleased with our new facility and the performance of the BE&K Building Group team. They made a difficult and complex project seem routine and did so while adhering to the safety and quality standards that set Gulfstream apart. We firmly believe we have found a capable, cost effective, and cooperative construction partner and fully intend to seek further engagement with the BE&K Building Group team in the future. For the G650 Business Jet Manufacturing Facility — Job Well Done.
