Hershey’s project near Stuarts Draft, Virginia included a 200,000 sf building expansion, an 11,000 sf office addition, and the renovation of 11,000 sf of existing office space. BE&K’s scope also included the equipment and process line installation. We completed an additional expansion project for Hershey in Pennsylvania at an existing plant that processes, packages, and ships Hershey Kisses and Nuggets. The addition included a basement, molding room, packaging area, shipping dock, and 8,000 sf mezzanine. The 25,000 sf packaging area is separated from the molding area by an interior insulated metal panel wall. Insulated metal panels make up the building’s exterior, supported by structural steel.
