BE&K Building Group provided preconstruction and construction services for a 50,000 sf expansion to Honda Aero’s manufacturing plant in Burlington, North Carolina. The expansion included 39,000 sf of manufacturing space and more than 10,000 sf of office space. Located adjacent to the Burlington-Alamance Regional Airport, Honda Aero manufactures jet engines for the HondaJet, a lightweight business jet produced by Honda Aircraft Company in nearby Greensboro. Honda Aero also performs overhaul and maintenance services at its Burlington campus. With this expansion, Honda Aero manufactures and assembles components that assist air flow in its jet engines.
