Mayfield Dairy Farms

Dairy Processing Facility

Mayfield’s state-of-the-art milk processing plant and visitor’s center is designed to produce 700,000 gallons of milk each week when operating at full capacity. The facility includes areas on the first floor for receiving, processing, blending, blow-molding, packing, and casing. Also included on the first floor is a 17,000 sf cooler for milk and other dairy products distributed from the facility. The upper floor contains a case-washing system, utilities, and training and conference rooms. The utilities are located along a central corridor on the top floor which facilitates maintenance where workers can service equipment without disrupting process areas below. Also included on the site is a pretreatment facility that processes wastewater before returning it to the local sewer system.
