BE&K Building Group provided preconstruction and construction services for the new Piedmont Newnan Hospital, a replacement facility in Newnan, Georgia and part of southwest metropolitan Atlanta. The new hospital replaces outdated facilities originally constructed in the 1950s. Built on a greenfield site, the new complex is designed to improve patient access and way-finding; provides flexibility for changing clinical, technology and community needs; increases operational efficiencies; and accommodates for future growth. The state-of-the-art, nine-story hospital includes a total of 136 beds, supported by eight operating rooms and 23 Emergency Department treatment rooms. From interior flow to exterior green space, the facility is open and light-filled, designed to provide a more comfortable setting for the patient and family.
