Techtronic Industries

Innovation Center

The 360,000 sf, state-of-the-art Innovation Center for Techtronic Industries features three distinct buildings, interconnected by common circulation corridors. A two-story laboratory with industrial finishes and specialty testing labs is tucked behind the four-story office structure. A single-story conference and marketing center serves as the collaboration hub for customers and employees alike. It also includes a fitness center, a full-service cafeteria with kitchen amenities, and a partially covered outdoor eating patio. The site’s development was extensive given the topography of the roughly 40-acre parcel, requiring massive retaining walls and significant earth-moving. Approximately a quarter mile of land was cleared to provide high visibility of the office building and to create a recreation field and walking trails throughout the surrounding wooded area. The project’s design utilized a large quantity of white oak wood, harvested directly from the project site during the clearing. Also included in the scope of work was a two-level parking deck providing more than 700 spaces.
