Seqirus' Fill Finish Expansion Celebrates Ribbon Cutting
On Monday, June 6, 2022, Seqirus celebrated the 90,000 sf Fill Finish Expansion project opening in Holly Springs, North Carolina. The expansion, which began construction in 2018, had a total-installed cost of $156 million dollars and will support more than 80 additional highly skilled jobs in the Holly Springs community.
The completion of this facility enhances Seqirus’ ability to rapidly respond to the upcoming flu season. The expanded manufacturing facility and new pre-filled syringe line will allow Seqirus to increase its capacity to supply the U.S. market with FLUCELVAX® QUADRIVALENT (influenza vaccine), the first and only cell-based quadrivalent influenza vaccine in the U.S. for individuals six months of age and older. The Holly Springs facility now has two fully operational state-of-the-art fill-finish lines with this expansion.
As one of the world’s leading influenza vaccine manufacturers, we’re driven by our promise to protect human health. So, we’re continuously looking for opportunities to advance capabilities and support efficient, sustained supply of new and existing technologies. Today’s milestone is evidence of that promise.
