On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Syngenta celebrated with a ribbon cutting the grand opening of 220,000 sf of Additions + Renovations to its North America Crop Protection Headquarters in Greensboro, NC. The campus is the central hub for much of the division’s research and development, sales, marketing, and administrative operations.
The ceremony began at 9 a.m. with guests enjoying refreshments and light bites. Syngenta President Vern Hawkins delivered the opening remarks, followed by brief statements from Brent Christensen, President & CEO of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce; Kathy Manning, U.S. Congresswoman for North Carolina’s 6th District; Shawn Harding representing North Carolina Farm Bureau; and Mike Fenley representing U.S. Senator for North Carolina Thom Tillis. BE&K Building Group’s project team was also in attendance. Following the speeches, attendees gathered for the ribbon cutting and a group photo before touring the project site.
BE&K Building Group provided construction management services for the site’s new and renovated lab and office facilities, collaborating with architectural partner Hanbury and program manager 35 North. The project was comprised of three interconnected buildings strategically designed to support Syngenta’s operations and future growth.
