AC Hotels by Marriott announced the start of construction of its new, state-of-the-art hotel at the corner of Camperdown and Main Street in downtown Greenville, South Carolina, commemorating the occasion with a press conference on April 4, 2019.
We realized this corner, we realized the neighbors and then we said, ‘what can we uniquely offer to the marketplace that’s not there?’ People are looking for unique experiences and we want to cater to different experiences. So, everything that we are doing here is not existing in the marketplace to a degree.

BE&K Building Group is providing preconstruction and construction services for the new hotel, and representatives attended the ceremony.
This hotel, which is the third of four signature buildings in Camperdown under construction, is slated for completion mid-2020 and will include restaurants and bars inspired by larger cities but rooted in Greenville’s charm.
The scope of work for this hotel includes 192 standard guestrooms, five guest suites, one event suite, meeting space, a full-service kitchen, and a rooftop bar featuring event space. The facility also features designated retail space at the ground level. The owner, Greenville-based Auro Hotels — previously doing business as JHM Hotels — is elevating the guest experience in hospitality. Auro Hotels’ current portfolio includes 30 hotels in the United States, with two additional properties in India, operating under well-known brands such as Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt. To date, BE&K Building Group has constructed six hospitality facilities for Auro Hotels.
