BE&K Employees Give Back this Holiday Season

BE&K Building Group offices and associated project teams are known for proactively supporting their local communities in a variety of ways throughout the year. During the December holiday season, our offices and project teams chose to support their communities in a variety of ways.

Our Charlotte office employees volunteered for Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Samaritan’s Purse ships these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S. In addition to Operation Christmas Child, BE&K team members also donated toiletries to Wellington House in Gastonia, NC. Wellington House is an assisted living community specializing in Alzheimer’s disease and related memory loss.

Our Research Triangle Park office collected food for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (The Food Bank) this season. The Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for those facing hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina for nearly 40 years.

Our Greenville office employees donated money to provide shoes, toothbrushes/toothpaste, and socks to its local Christmas Shoes Ministry that provides over 2,000 pairs of shoes annually to local children at Christmastime and throughout the year. In addition to the Christmas Shoes Ministry, office members also donated canned foods for Belton Preparatory Academy who collected more than 1,000 food items to donate to Belton Interfaith Ministries. The mission of Belton Interfaith Ministries is to assist in meeting basic emergency needs of individuals and families in Anderson County, SC.

Special thanks to all of our employees who generously gave donations and volunteered their time during this season.
