On February 21 and 22, 2023, BE&K Building Group (BE&K) launched its Next Generation Leadership (NGL) Class of 2023 with their first in-person meeting held at BE&K’s RTP office. During their two-day meeting, the group discussed and reviewed the book The Leadership Challenge by James Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner, participated in team-building exercises, received overviews of BE&K’s business units and departments provided by executive leadership, and took a personal tour of the FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies BioProcess Innovation Center Expansion project.
BE&K’s NGL Program provides participants the opportunity to learn more about the company, learn more about themselves, interact and build relationships with other team members who work in different departments, build personal leadership skills, and collaborate and learn from BE&K’s executive leadership team. The year-long program requires a high level of engagement, commitment, and personal motivation from each participant.
The NGL Class of 2023 will continue to meet in-person and virtually throughout the year, to develop and refine their leadership skills. BE&K’s goal with this program is to provide our employees the opportunity for personal development and to position them to lead the company forward as our next generation.
