BE&K BUILDING GROUP SELECTED AS DESIGN-BUILDER FOR SIMTRA BIOPHARMA SOLUTIONS’ U.S. MANUFACTURING CAPACITY EXPANSION
Bloomington, IN —11/3/2025 — BE&K Building Group (BE&K), a national design-build and construction management firm, has been selected by Simtra BioPharma Solutions (Simtra) to provide design-build services to renovate an existing facility located on a 65-acre property at 301 N. Curry Pike in Bloomington, Indiana. The facility offers 300,000 square feet of available space near Simtra’s existing manufacturing facility.

The current construction features one new 400 vpm liquid vial filling line with three lyophilizers, cappers under isolators, and a vial washer for both liquid and lyo product paths. The facility support areas will consist of freeze/thaw, sampling and dispensing, cold storage, semi-automated (lyo) and automated (liquid) visual inspection, and process clean utilities. A quality control and microbiology lab will also be integrated into the facility with administration and amenity support areas.
JacobsWyper is serving as the architect of record. BE&K has mobilized, and construction is underway. The initial line installation is slated for completion in 2027.
