BE&K Building Group recently partnered with South Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Administration (SC OSHA) to work together to produce the safest possible work environment for all personnel at BE&K Building Group’s Auro Hotels Residence Inn + SpringHill Suites project in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. This partnership provides for regular SC OSHA site visits to assist with identifying and correcting any potential hazards.
In addition to site inspections, SC OSHA will also provide training and incentives to participating contractors who desire to voluntarily improve their safety and health performance. This teaming effort not only provides immediate benefits to the project and its team members, it also produces long-term benefits in that subcontractors and employees take what they learn about safety through an enhanced program and carry it forward to future construction worksites.
Director of Safety Mark Manos who executed the partnership on behalf of BE&K Building Group said, “Through this partnership with SC OSHA, BE&K Building Group is not only proving our commitment to provide a safe work environment on each of our projects, but we’re also making a good faith effort to teach our subcontractors safe work habits that can last a lifetime.” BE&K Building Group has partnered with SC OSHA on previous projects, most notably the Boeing Expansion Project in North Charleston, South Carolina.
